Tom
Tom Edwards is the lead guitar player for the band and sings lead vocals. Tom has been playing professionally since 1973. He has toured California, Oregon and Washington and all up and down the I-5 corridor. He even had the opportunity to open for such acts as, Ike & Tina Turner, Elvin Bishop and Buddy Miles. Tom originally started his professional musicians career in the San Francisco Bay area. Tom's background is predominately rhythm and blues, but he plays and sings many styles of music. Tom is a local song writer and regional recording blues artist. He is very polished and it shows in his performances. Tom has been with Craig Landron and Loose Cannon for the last four years here in Spokane. Tom is also a member of local 105 of the musicians union.
Craig
Craig Landron plays an awesome saxophone and also sings lead vocals. Craig has played professionally since 1989 throughout Washington and Oregon. Craig graduated from the University of Idaho with a bachelors degree in music. He has had the privilege of playing live with such greats as Lou Rawls, Lynard Skinnard, The Platters, Wilson Picket and most recently Frank Sinatra Jr. Craig also plays for many live local theatre performances. Once you hear Craig play the sax, you will be wanting to hear more of his polished professional sound, from sultry blues to rock & roll. Craig is also a local and regional recording artist. Craig has played with Tom Edwards and Loose Cannon for the last four years. Craig is also a member of local 105 of the musicians union
Psycho
Our drummer is called "Psycho." No one knows his real name. We know he was in the Marines, and that for many years he drummed across the country (from Texas to New York, North Dakota to Arizona, and San Diego to Seattle). He's played with a lot of the best Texas artists (blues, rock and country) in Dallas and Austin. Those include Kenny and the Kasuals, who have had Top 10 records in Europe, and are credited with starting the garage band genre; Summerfield, the most popular country rock band in Dallas; Austin All Stars, who regularly backed up every big name Texas celebrity; and Little Big Band, award winning swing/jazz band in Austin. Although, most of his past is a deep, dark mystery, we've discovered that he can play just about any type of music we throw at him. Also, while it might look like he's singing in the background, he's actually chanting. Don't ask what language, no one knows.
Denise
Denise Lamont, bass player, joined Loose Cannon about a year ago. She is a recent transplant from Seattle. She started with the band The Sonics in 1978 after getting her music degree at Central Washington State. The Sonics were out of California and toured Alaska, Idaho, California, Oregon and Washington. She later started her own band, The Dreamers, that played throughout Washington.
Max
Brent Purivs is our trombone and keyboard player. He has a degree in music from the University of Idaho and is currently the band teacher at Colville High School.
